About Leagues
Dota 2 Leagues offer the community the opportunity to create their own tournaments and competitions. Tournaments can be local, national, or international. The winners of these leagues will have the opportunity to claim a piece of a prize pool that the league administrator has raised. League games may be free to spectate, or paid.
Professional Leagues
Professional Leagues feature pro players and teams. Often, these games are streamed or otherwise broadcast to a wider audience. Professional Leagues generally feature larger prize pools and do not have open registration.
Amateur Leagues
Amateur Leagues generally have open registration, and are local to a particular region. Tickets to spectate an Amateur League's games tend be free, or cost $0.99 USD or less.
