Author's Ability Notes


A good spell during the laning-stage that will enable your Demonic Conversion units to hit enemies multiple times. A good combo is to use Malefice on an enemy walking through Midnight Pulse or any allied AoE damaging spell.
Use your eidolons to farm jungle / push waves / trade enemy heroes.
Use Midnight Pulse before Black Hole to boost the damage done. Be careful to not miss opportunities and timing by doing so. Damage goes through spell immunity. This ability destroys trees in its area.
Works very well with Blink Dagger and it’s further enables by items like Black King Bar and Linkens Sphere. Be careful about positioning during teamfights. Keep in mind you do not need to hit 5 man Black Holes, 2/3 people might just be enough.

Core Items

Blink Dagger is an item for positioning and initation. Its a great item both offensively and defensively. A great way to initiate with Black Hole.
Increases Malefice stun duration by 0.35s and at every tick on an enemy hero creates an Eidolon which cannot split but still get a refreshed duration after a set amount of attacks
Black King Bar enables your teamfight abilities; its an item you usually get against a lot of magic damage or lockdown. You dont want your Black Hole to be stopped and this is a step in that direction.
Get Linkens Sphere against single target spells that have a high impact against you. If you have both Black King Bar and Linkens Sphere its very hard for the enemies to stop Black Hole unless they have one of a very short list of heroes.
Gives you the ability to cast Black Hole more often (basically all your spells and items are buffed by it).
Very strong lategame item that can change the course of the game since you will have 2 Black Holes.

Situational Items

Sustains your mana throughout the game and can help your allies as well if they need it.
You can dispel debuffs on yourself (like Orchid) and change the course of teamfights by restoring your team’s HP and Mana.
A very strong utility item which further enables your early game. You can group up with your team and take objectives while it gives you an edge in skirmishes or teamfights.
Enables teamfighting and group-up lineups. Get this item against heavy magic damage enemies.
Deals additional damage equivalent to 3.5% Max Health and pulls all enemies in the 1200 AoE with the speed of 175 units. Units being pulled in the additional Scepter radius can still move
Situational utility item against multiple psyhical attack damage heroes or summon heroes in case you really need or if you want to group up and end the game early.
Force Staff is an item that you can use on any ally or foe in the game. A great item to reposition heroes which gives you kiting capabilities or the ability to close gaps. Can be used to initiate or disengage.
A great teamfighting tool, gives you vision while you use it. Works well against physical damage heroes or heroes with illusions/summons. Gives you more survivability and works well with Midnight Pulse and Blackhole.
