pick this if cast range isnt what you need
Kinda useless ngl
Massive damage increase for Epi, also makes your Aghs proc much more
pretty cool slow for early skirmishes
This is pretty good against stuff like Puck, QoP etc...
Your main initiation. Use Blink Dagger to position in a such a way you can align multiple heroes with this spell. Bear in mind its very low cast range at level 1.
Either we max this if we intend to fight early a lot, or we completely skip it and play the farming game with our other abilities. In fights, this is your main source of damage outside of your ult, it will follow you around even if you leave it so make sure to keep chasing opponents you want to kill
An early point in this ability is more than enough to disrupt the opposing safelane. Its scaling is percentage based so maxing it first will do near nothing. Take an extra level if the opposing heroes cant zone you out After unleashing your full combo. Try to autoattack as many ennemies as possible to trigger a chain explosion.
It's your main damage source in fights. You can either walk into a fight to activate it or you can precast it and then shift-queue your blink and burrow strike (if you dont know what shift queing is, look it up, it will be a life saver) IT IS POSSIBLE TO SKIP EPI UNTIL LVL 9 OR SO IF YOU WANT TO PLAY HEAVY FARMING. MAKE SURE NOT TO GRIEF YOURSELF THOUGH
This helps you farm because all the creeps you hit will have the caustic finale explosion to them. Abuse this in lane, it will infect a bunch of creeps at one and potentially make a huge chain reaction. Melee heroes will hate you for this
200 cast range is no joke
could be good against melee centric enemy lineup

starting items

Helps you trade against the enemy safelane.
Helps with last hitting. Use the active ability to juke through trees
Sand King is a Universal, meaning getting 3 of these gives you roughly 7 attack damage which is helpful in the laning phase
For an offlaner, Sand King isn't particularly tanky. The burst HP and mana regen can help him sustain longer in lane. Skip it if the opponents don't have spammable spells and get faster to your core items
I like this against PA for example

early game situational

Excellent item to get against heroes with spammable spells such as PA, Skywrath, Bristleback, Luna.... You may skip it if youre unable to get charges
We get this before Blink or Aghs if we intend to buy Shivas later on
This gives very nice all around stats for SK, helping him being more durable in lane. Gives Sand King about 12 attack damage. Doubles after 25 minutes
All stats are nice, plus the mana regen is also very good

CORE items

You will keep for a good amount of times. Most of the time youll upgrade them into BoT but sometimes, Phase Boots are also good
Your bread and butter item. Combined with Burrowstrike, you can catch target from very far away. Make sure to shift-queue it during Epicenter cast point.
Huge item for SK, it amps your entire kit, gives you armour, reduces enemy healing and their atk speed.
This makes Epicenter proc many instances of Stinger which will quickly rack up damage in teamfights + big chain reactions when enemies start dying

all game situational

You dont need this item right at 15 mins, in fact you can often skip this item to get your core items earlier like Shivas or Aghs. Still a nice addition to your build since it increases your damage output and can help you farm faster
Makes you speedy, gives you armour and the small damage boost helps with Stinger
BoT allow you to apply constant map pressure and/or relieve it. They allow you to play remote from your team since youll always be able to connect with them if need be.
Buy this item if you have trouble surviving in teamfights AND/OR if you need an extra disable to work with. Use cyclone on yourself to remove debuffs and make you invulnerable for 2.5 secs OR on an enemy to kite them, let your team close the gap etc... This item is very polyvalent and its value depends on how creative you are with it
Right clickers hate this item, however it got a phat nerf in 7.40 so I am not sure if this is still worth getting. Only strong dispels (LC 2nd spell, Aba shield...) can now remove the effect
After youve finished your Shivas and Aghs, getting this item will make you more resilient against magic damage. Combined with the armour provided by Shivas, you become really hard to kill when you get Shroud. Since this item will make you swin in mana, it can be interesting to sell your mana boots and then get Boots of Travel for global presence.
Buy this if the enemy has a lot of magic damage to protect you and your team. If youre going for this item, make sure to buy it early and to tell your team to group and provoke fights, since its value falls down as the game progresses
Buy this item against physical right clickers to mitigate their damage output. Same as Pipe of Insight, tell yourteam to group up and force early fights to get maximum value from this item THE EFFECT CANNOT BE REFRESHED
Buy this item for even more armour and against strong single target spells. Use it on whoever the enemy is focusing. Keep in mind placing the shield will dispel the hero, making it useful to remove silences, slows and even DUST !!
Buy this item to avoid lockdown from enemy spells and mitigate spell damage against heavy spell casters. Activating it will purge off debuffs such as silence or dust of appearance IMPORTANT: while this item is on cooldown, you can put it in your backpack to make room for another item. Make sure to use this trick when you have lots of items in the late game
A well rounded item for SK, it is however a bit of a greedy item, you may get it after youve bought Shivas but DO NOT grief your other timing for this item (Aghs will more often than not be a better item)
Great stats and strong CD reduction,
Kind of a meme item that you can buy to absolutely murder whoever youre going on. Later, you can also use it to bait BKBs. Realistically, you should only buy this if youre stomping, although it can be useful against right click carries

Luxury items

Twice the Epicenter, twice the fun (easy on the mana however)
Strong late game item, the instant disable can allow your team to quickly tear down a foe before they can even react.
Upgrade for your Blink Dagger. The slow stacks with your other sources of slows.
Upgrade for your Euls Scepter. You can now move while cycloning yourself but you can also cyclone your ALLIES to save them, buy this item in the ultra lategame

meme build (DO NOT TRY AT HOME)

Guys, SK has a scaling ability with Stinger which means that RIGHT CLICK SK MAY ACTUALLY BE A THING
THERE IS NO ESCAPE
GET TWO OF THEM. WE GONE CRITTIN
I DONT EVEN KNOW AT THIS POINT. IT HAS TO WORK

SK is quite squishy for an offlaner, this item provides him with much needed survivability. Can later build into Crimson Guard Don't buy if the enemy lineup is mainly magical damage
SK is a pretty weak laner, this makes him less likely to be pushed out of lane by enemy harass. Also helps you sustain Soul Ring
High damage increase, you can put it in your backpack during daytime if the vision loss is bothering you and wait for the night
Pretty strong item as of 7.35
SK will often be the first hero the enemy will focus down, making this item a very desirable choice
Broken item as 7.35, the only better item than this is Timeless relic
Acts as a Blade Mail but for your whole team if theyre surrounding you. The extra magic resistance is also very appreciated
Pretty broken cast range increase for your Burrow Strike and blink dagger
All stats are nice. Acts as both a Linkens and a Lotus Orb on a 12 sec cooldown, pretty strong if you ask me
