Author's Ability Notes


Use Fissure in the laning stage to secure ranged creeps when you cannot last hit with the Enchant Totem right click. Also helps you block off enemy heroes and run them down or disrupt their farm.
Use it to secure last hits and denies as well as trade with your opponents in lane. Once you have your Blink Dagger, look to use Enchant Totem before entering fights. That way, you can Blink in and and get the Totem hit off twice for your full spell combo.
This is the ability that allows your Enchant Totem and Echo slam to stun. Be wary of break effects because if this passive is disabled, only Fissure will stun.
Don`t be too hesitant to cast a one man Echo Slam on a high priority target if that means securing the kill. This ability`s main strength is the instant stun it provides, while having amazing teamfight potential if you connect with more targets.
Take the other level 10 talent over this suggested one if you plan to go for right click items with an early Aghanim`s Scepter.
Take the other level 20 talent over this suggested one if you are playing around Enchant Totem damage with right click items.

Starting

A consumable for sustained HP regen in the laning stage. Helps you trade your HP with enemy heroes and heal back up without having to go to fountain. Provides double HP regen when eating a tree planted using an Iron Branch.
The most cost efficient stats item in Dota 2. Useful in the laning stage to have an HP, mana, and damage advantage against enemy heroes. Can be used together with a Tango for double HP regen.

Early Game

An early game pick up that helps you get through the laning stage with more stats. The HP regen is particularly useful to stay relatively healthy in the lane while you tank heroes and creeps.
Start with it if you expect a high frequency of spells from enemy heroes on the lane.
A core Boots of Speed upgrade to gain some much needed armor and do more damage with the Enchant Totem right clicks. The Phase active also lets you walk through units and quickly get on top of enemy heroes to bring them in the stun and damage AoE of Echo Slam and Enchant Totem.
A core item to pair with Phase Boots or Power Treads for mana sustain to spam your spells. Also makes you tanky with armor and a bigger HP pool.
Start with Magic Stick if you expect high frequency of spells from enemy heroes on the lane.

Mid Game

A core mobility item to get the ideal positioning for Echo Slam in teamfights. Also lets you jump on top of enemy heroes and stun with Enchant Totem, or find better angles for Fissure.
A core item to increase the damage of all your spells as well as resolve some of your mana issues. Gets upgraded to Yasha and Kaya later in the game.
A core item to reduce Fissure cooldown and improve the lockdown on all your spells to keep applying Aftershock around Fissure. Allows you to clear waves with Fissure + Totem.
A core item to improve your mobility and do more damage with your spells. Makes your spell combo even more potent and improves the cast speed of your spells to get off your combo faster.
A core item to avoid most disables and silences on the enemy team to get off your entire spell combo in teamfights without interruption.

Late Game

A core item to give you another form of mobility with Enchant Totem on top of Blink Dagger. Also gives cleave effect on your Enchant Totem hit to clear creep waves quickly.
A core item that maintains your teamfight potential on the map more often by reducing the cooldown of all your spells and items.
A late game upgrade for Blink Dagger to have even more AoE damage and control in teamfights while increasing your tankiness with a bigger HP pool.

Situational

An alternative to Phase Boots to improve your attack animation for the Enchant Totem hit with attack speed, as well as increase your right click DPS through attack speed and stats. Also lets you conserve mana through stats toggling.
A mid game pick up to set up your control spells on enemy heroes and keep them chain stunned while your team catches up to finish them off. Also gives you some much needed mana regen and lets you dispel yourself and buy time when in trouble. Gets upgraded to Wind Waker later in the game.
A powerful defensive tool to block single target disables and debuffs. Also provides effective damage through stats for universal heroes.
A powerful defensive tool to reflect single target spells. Also provides a dispel on cast and makes you tanky with armor.
A late game upgrade for Eul`s Scepter of Divinity that allows you to dispel yourself as well as move to a safer spot during Cyclone. Can also be used to save an ally caught by enemy heroes. Also provides mana pool to use your ultimate twice with Refresher Orb.
One of the most cost efficient rightclick damage items in DOTA. Allows you to burst opponents if you get lucky. The Critical Strike scales your attack damage by 37.5% damage.
