By visiting the 'Guides' section in the Steam Community, you can now view in-depth walkthroughs of all your favorite heroes. You can also subscribe to Hero Builds, which can be used in-game to instruct you on what abilities to level up (and when), along with what items will best suit your needs.

As for you seasoned heroes out there, create your own Hero Builds right here on Dota2.com, then share them with friends and the Dota 2 community via the Steam Community.

Q: What is a Hero Build?
A Hero Build is a way for players to gain knowledge about a specific hero. Builds provide helpful advice on which abilities to level up and when, and what the best items are for your hero. Builds also contain tooltips on strategies, tactics and any other knowledge the author saw fit to share.
Q: What's the difference between a Steam Guide and a Hero Build?
Steam Guides are a feature of the Steam Community that let players share in-depth knowledge about all sorts of games on Steam, including Dota 2. Hero Builds are unique to Dota 2 and used during a game to help instruct you on how to best play your hero. Hero Builds can be linked to from a Guide.
Q: How do I create Hero Builds?
Log into Dota2.com here.You'll then automatically be taken to your local Hero Build page, where you'll be able to create and edit Hero Builds. All builds are saved directly to your Steam Cloud.
Q: How do I use Hero Builds?

To use a Hero Build you've created or subscribed to on the Steam Community, simply join a game and click the "Hero Build Panel" button at the top-left corner of the screen. From here you can see the default build for the hero you're playing, Builds you've made yourself, Builds you've subscribed to on the Steam Community, as well as a selection of top Builds other users have published.
Q: Can I share my Hero Builds with others?
Please do! Just use the 'Publish to Steam Community' menu option in the Hero Build page on Dota 2.com. You can choose to publish it privately so that only you can see it; publish it to just your Steam Friends; or publish it to the world at large. Once you've published a Hero Build it will show up in the Steam Community, allowing other people to subscribe to it, leave comments, rate it, or even favorite it. What better way to test your knowledge than by letting everyone try it out?
