“Surviving Aghanim the Mighty's labyrinth earns you my respect. But what's BETTER than Aghanim the Mighty's respect? The knowledge that you've outperformed everyone else in the world. And what's BETTER than knowing you've outperformed everyone else in the world? Prizes!”
How it Works
Once a week you may compete against a global leaderboard on the same randomly generated labyrinth. The fastest and most successful parties will be rewarded with Aghanim's rarest and most valuable prize.
“What darkness motivates your party to submit to almost certain death? It must be the most potent of all desires: the insatiable need for fancy stuff!”
Aghanim's Interdimensional Baby Roshan
1st Place Prize
“Champion, take in to your charge this rarest of babies. It is no matter how I got them. Look, they're not stolen.”
In addition to the top-place finisher, one randomly selected team that defeats the Act 1 Boss will also receive the Interdimensional Baby Roshan reward
Waterlogged Kunkka Shoes
1st-3rd Place Prize
“You've NEVER seen shoes like these before. Hand cobbled from a stock of long-forgotten quillboar leather, soaked in the sea-water from an alternate dimension, chic but practical for every-day wear, offered in men's and women's whole and half sizes. The price? Your blood.”
1st-10th Place Prize
“Allow Aghanim's keen eye to offer you a near-priceless restyling!”
In-Game Aghanim's Effect
Weekly In-Game Effect for Beating the First Boss
“May all that gaze upon you know that you did not immediately turn to dust upon setting foot in my labyrinth. No, you waited dozens of minutes to do that.”
“It's a time trial! We're putting time on trial! Time! Take the stand!”
Once a week you’ll be able to queue for Aghanim’s Trials during a two hour window. You'll queue the same way you queue for Aghanim's Labyrinth. Trials will begin on Tuesday July 21st, and continue every Sunday during the Battle Pass.
Is the competition region specific?
No. Instead, this will be a global competition. You and your party will be able to choose a two-hour window that works best for you in which to tackle the Labyrinth.
Do I have to have a party, or can I match-make?
Partying up is not required and you can use match-making.
When does the week and leaderboard reset again?
Leaderboards will normally be reset on Sunday.
Are prizes marketable?
The items added to your armory (Baby Roshan, Kunkka Shoes, and Arcanas) are marketable. The Aghanim aura effect is temporary and resets at the end of the each week.
When are the winners announced?
Players will be able to see their standing in real-time on the leaderboard and winners will receive their prize after the standings have been verified by the development team.
How do time windows work?
Each week, a new period of Aghanim's Trials will begin. During that time, players can choose a two hour time window to queue and take their best run at The Labyrinth. Players will only get one two-hour window each week to make their attempt. Competition windows are spaced out in five hour intervals for convenience in all regions. During the period, players will be playing against the same dungeon seed and the party that performs the best -- scored first by dungeon depth and then by time -- will make their way onto the leaderboard.
Can I enter more than once?
You may queue as many times as you'd like during your two-hour window. In the event you queue with two different parties and make your way onto the leaderboard in both parties, you'll only be eligible for one prize.
